4.7 milage

Hi Im new here. But not new to Doge. I have a 96 5.9l horrible milage. But I just bought a 2002 1500 4.7L

What is the norm for a engin with about 90.000 miles on it. mpg.... City driving mostly.

best regards from Iceland.

Gussi.

Not sure, I just got a 2007 4.7 and my hwy mileage towing was horrendous, ie. 20-25L/100km in the mountains. That is worse than towing the same trailer with my 2008 trailblazer with a 4.2L I6

Really depends on your driving habbits and how the vehicle is mainitained. In the US i get anywhere from 9.6-13 MPG, highway i get 17-21 MPG depending on the speed. This is not towing a trailer.

Im sure i can get my city up but i got a lead foot

I average 13.7 mpg - mixed city and hwy

I average between 13 and 15 in the city, but I do my best to not drive aggressive and coast whenever I can. On the highway, I do the same. Most highway miles are between here and Kansas. Depending on which way the wind is blowing, I get 19 - 24.
