Drone with 18" Magnaflow

So im trying to find a solution to this issue without reverting back to stock...

Im getting unbearable drone with the 18" magnaflow, it wasnt that bad when I first installed it but it seems to be getting worse. I have the y pipe done, the stock resonators are still in place and I have jba shorties coming in next week.

Do you think the headers will tone down the drone?

If not ive been looking at a full 22" magnaflow catback set up, anyone with this set up that can chime in?

I know one mans drone is another mans beauty tune but I would still like some input before I go an spend $800 on a new exhaust set up that may or may not fix my problem.

The "J" Pipe from Mufflex was designed to get rid of drone.

unfortunately being in Canada, i gotta pay $100 in shipping plus customs and duties to get this to my door. Im $400 deep by that point lol

how far is your nearest border crossing? Gananoque? ya kinda far i guess
suggestion would have been a US address company, saves the shipping (most US places will ship free within the lower 48), just taxes when you cross back over
i've used this method tons, have ordered prob $10k worth of bike parts in the past year and saved a shytload on BS shipping/handling charges thru UPS and FEDEX...have yet to pay any duties either

Oh. I didn't look at your location. Maybe you could show that to muffler or weld shop to see if they could make one for you.

the only irritating noise that i hear is when i am in the highest gear
traveling between 30 - 45 mph
i just drop a gear & keep the MDS from kicking in

I have the Mufflex 24" Magnaflow on mine. Drone is only a tad more than it was stock

I have the 22" with a resonator delete since shipping to Canada was too much for me to order the complete cat-back. I don't have any drone with my set up and if you can swing the complete cat-back I say go for it! If not the 22" PN#12588 should definitely help, and get rid of those resonators!

got the dual exhaust on the truck, prob look a little weird if there was no tips coming out the back lol

jba headers installed - drone is still there, just at a different rpm.

gonna be looking at switching to a 22" magnaflow or get the catback kit from dynomax.
