GO MANGO paint matching problems! Please help

I own a 2005 Ram Daytona Go mango orange. I recently purchased a fiberglass, ARE tonneau cover and wanted to paint it to match. I also wanted to take the opportunity and fix a deep scratch that was on the bed on the passenger side.
Well, it has been a nightmare. I have tried to 2 different paint mixing places to try an match the paint and no luck! The lastest guy I went to told me that there are 8, yes that's 8 different shades of PVE (paint code for GoMango). How do I know which one is mine without having to go through the trial-and-error method, the truck has been painted 2 times already and is going back for a 3rd. Is there a way to determine which of the 8 shades does my truck have? Does the dealer sell paint? can the dealer give me a closer match using the VIN number or something? Any ideas?

The dealership has the mix code for your Ram
it goes by year & color

Go ManGo! Dodge Color
PVE
Go ManGo! 2005 Ram 1500 Paint Code (PVE)
Go Mango! Orange Dodge Color
PVE
Go Mango! Orange 2006 Charger Paint Code (PVE)

you can give up a dead panel match. You will have to match it up to a alt. chip panel. Then start making paint spray outs. That color is a bitch.

Also remember plastic and smc parts will not turn out the same shade as metal parts. just look at the new z-28s.

Yes, what will36 said. Its a bitch, you make a batch, spray out a little bit, you then have to clean the paint gun, let the paint dry. If it doesn't match, tint it a little bit, respray, clean the paint gun, let it dry........................... Most shops won't go through this and just say they tried.

A new batch was mixed today, and the truck will be re-sprayed. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Wish me luck :D
