Plasti dipped my grill and did the front badge in gloss black with a matte base thoughts? Also disregard the filthy truck it's been non stop rain and dust storms in phoenix!

Damn that looks good. How hard was it to remove the grill ??? Been thinking about doing this.

looks good man!

Its super easy to remove the grill if wanted. Only 4 bolts hold it on and the rest is just snapped in.

AZRAMRT 09-06-2013 12:29 AM

Yeah it's not hard at all the grill has four bolts up at the top two by the headlights and two in the center under the plastic trim then you just have to pull the bottom out. The hard part was I separated the honeycomb grill from the plastic frame that took a bit of time but overall it took about 4 hours including drying time

Dd you do anything to prep the "chrome" area?

RogerRamJet 09-07-2013 01:33 AM

Cleaned it really well with Dove liquid detergent, and after it was dry, wiped it down with a micro fiber cloth.

AZRAMRT 09-07-2013 04:34 AM

To clean mine I used a residue free window cleaner and a microfiber cloth. And other than cleaning I didn't prep the chrome at all no sanding or scrapping it up.
