BMW X5 M3 4.4L V8 Twin Turbo kill

I expected so much more from a M3 V8 Twin Turbo 550HP BMW

I don't think he fully understood his launch control sequence

Jeeeze, just point it straight and floor it man, its an automatic with AWD!!!

I even had my heavy 305/50R20 A/T Grappler's on to give him a chance

If I would have had my 28" Drag Radials on I would have hit 12.8's easily

Poor Bimmer, I almost felt bad for him

He did improve on his second run (right lane 14.038) but still...that's not right for that kind of $$$

Next time look for a M3 or M5 sedan or an AMG 63. If you can run low 12's, you won't be whooped to badly. Those owners usually let their egos get in the way of their driving.

We have a few of those up here too, I'm no track n00b
Yes the V10 M3's are quick no doubt...but only from a roll LOL!
at 3400' DA they can only hit high 12's if they are very lucky

But I'm hardly in a V10 Viper, remember? it's a freaking V8 5400lb Truck :hah:

... "IF" a lighter M3 Sedan can hook in 2WD on street tires and track conditions are perfect, that's a LOT of "if's"
For the most part, I'll handle them just fine in AWD with 4 - 28" Drag Radials next time I go back and run mid 12's.

Running a 5400lb brick at high end luxury sports car speeds FTW!!! :D

I thought being an SUV,
the X5 with over 500hp was at least on a level playing field at just over 5100lbs

guess not

BRH If I'm ever in your neck of the woods I'll bring the stang down there, I'm sure it will give you all you can handle.....Good to see you inching for those twelves, I'm sure you'll get there next time out.

nice kill, I agree the Ms does not hook up well at the 1/4 mile tracks never have the cars. When these awd/suvs are flashed with a 91 octane tune lil different...with you drs you should be able to dip easily 1.7s 60' times also. Regardless it would be nice to see you go for the gen 4 record this fall, youre all setup..boost is the equalizer to DA:smiley_thumbs_up:
