Chrome Wheel Skins Now Available 17" Wheels for 2013

Chrome Wheel Skins are now for sale on EBay!!!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/380711173958...958%26_rdc%3D1

I just ordered a set of chrome wheel skins for my 2013 17" painted aluminum wheels. I was waiting for them to be available so I can have chrome wheels like the factory 20" wheels.

$79 for 4 chrome wheel covers delivered. Can hardly wait for delivery as I wanted to get these 5 months ago when I got my 2013 Outdoorsman.

Every time I think I'm done with doing Mods something else catches my eye.

Fits only 2013 OEM 17" aluminum wheels.

Ok, the Wheel Skins came in yesterday and I had time today to install them and get some pictures.

The chrome on the Wheel Skins looks real nice and they came double boxed with plastic separators between each cover.

To install them you have to jack up each wheel, then just remove your lug nuts and the Wheel Skins will snap right on your wheel. The chrome Dodge Ram wheel center cap on your aluminum wheel is still visible with the Wheel Skin installed.

Dodge charges $1400 for the chrome 20" OEM wheels which are still fake plastic wheels.

The Wheel Skins go on the 2013 17" aluminum OEM painted wheels. The cost for (4) Wheel Skins is $79 total on Ebay and includes delivery.

Picture #1 is the OEM aluminum painted wheel.
Picture #2&3 are with the Wheel Skins installed.
Picture #4 is my truck.

They look great. I wish they made those for the 20s. I had to buy a set of wheels off of CL. After selling mine it only cost me $200 so it wasn't to bad.

I think they look good, so do the lug nuts actually hold them on? My worry would be that they would fall off.

The Wheel Skins snap on to the wheel, like a hubcap snaps on. Will not fall off. These are custom made to only fit the 2013 17" aluminum wheel. The lug nuts go over the Wheel Skin, but do not hold the cap on.

Why do you have to jack, and remove lugnuts/wheel if the lugnuts do not hold the hubcaps on? Can't they just slip over the lugnuts?

Because the tapered cone of the lug nut is smaller than the 7/8" nut. Also you would not want the lug nut to torque down on the plastic. So that is why the lug nut needs to come off.
