jack suggestions?

Hey guys...looking to buy a good jack to lift up my 1500 in the garage. The small craftsman jack I have now is not gonna cut it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Duralast are pretty good. My craftsman pro is even better.

Are you looking at a trolley type jack?

Yeah, what are looking to do? Oil changes? Tire/wheel swaps? :4-dontknow:

Yeah mostly to swap/rotate tires and maybe for oil changes since I can't fit under there without lifting it.

If you like your small craftsman jack, how about a big Craftsman jack?

I have a 3.5 TONE trolley jack that I purchased from the local Northern Tool about a year ago. I've used it for the applications you mentioned about one-half dozen times and it's a beast. Short cranks to raise it and very well built.

I don't need it on my truck as I can now crawl under for oil changes but I did jack it once since my level and it has no problem.

Please do NOT forget some quality jack stands too as a piece of mind and backup

The brand/model escapes me but I'll check later today and get back with you.

The regular duty craftsman I have now is actually the second. After about a year (maybe used it 4-5 times) it stopped working. I had to fight with them to replace it but they eventually did. I wouldn't expect a jack like that to fail with such little use...crazy.
The more I read reviews on even the heavy duty Craftsman they seem to get rated very low. I know more people have a tendency to write in when they have a bad experience rather than something good to say but a lot of similar reviews about them failing has me concerned.
And I thought this would be a simple purchase...
