4" lift adding bilsteins 5100

If I add the bilstein 5100 to my 2011 ram 1500 do I need to remove the strut spacer that was put on with the 4" lift and put the adjustment to were it needs to be or do I leave the strut spacer and just add the billstein...new to this so some good info would help thanx everyone

I'm assuming you're using the Bilsteins to level your truck with the lift installed now?

You will leave the lift strut spacer on and then set the Bilsteins to where you need them. I wouldn't go any higher than 1.4" though, you'll be pushing your CV shaft and control arm angles if you do.

I'm trying to level it and hopefully get a better ride out of it. It is so stiff in the front end its like riding a ol go kart. I mean you hit a bump and it dam near pulls the wheel out of your hand so I'm hoping these may help and thanx for the input its appreciated

Bilsteins will definitely help with that. I had mine set at 1.4" with a 6" RCX kit and it rode beautifully. Better than stock IMO, a little more stiff but it was nice and tight like a truck should be. Definitely not uncomfortable over bumps.

To level a 4" lift you'll probably only need to set the Bilsteins at 0.7" but measuring your fender heights will tell you exactly what you'll need them at. Just remember that you'll want to retain about 0.5" of rake to avoid looking nose high.

Exactly what Brandon said, Measure your fender heights to see how much rake you currently have and set the Bilsteins accordingly.

What lift kit do you have and we can quickly tell you want to set them at
