opinions please
so im not going to be able to get the 4" bds lift, so i have to do the next best thing. going to level and throw on some new tires and rims. heres what im considering

bills at 2.8 and 3/4 tgc rear spacer, with either hankook dynapro atm, or toyo at2. thinking either in a 305/55/20 or 295/60/20. what do you think

and rims, either moto metal 951 chrome 20x10 -18, or kmc xd spy black 20x9 -12.

not going to get 35s because i dont like the stuffed look

and if anyone has any other combos id love to hear/ see them

I'd go with the Spy's personally. But, you could throw on a 3 inch body lift and go with 35's. The body lift/leveling kit combo will be the next best thing to a full suspension lift. These trucks work really well with body lifts.

I definitely like the Bilstein and TGC spacer idea; you'll really like that set up.

As far as the wheel/tire set up goes I'd recommend sticking to a 9" wide rim with that set up. IMO a 10" wide rim with a tire less than 13" wide looks a little dumb to me. I'm not a fan of the stretched tire look or anything close to it. Especially on a truck. I'd go with a 9" wide rim and the 295/60/20's as they'll be taller than the 305/55's

Ok thanks guys. So with either tire size -12 offset will be fine right?

brandonjansen 09-17-2013 02:38 PM

Yup, not a problem. That will just give you a wider stance. I would expect a 295 wide tire on a 18x9 -12 offset rim to stick out approximately 1" past the fender.

Ok thanks. What about a 305/55. How much more would that stick out

brandonjansen 09-17-2013 03:16 PM

It will be very similar. There's literally only a 5mm difference in width on each side.... so would stick out about 3/16" further.

I had Dynapros on my old Dakota and like them a lot. I almost put them on this truck but wanted something a tad more aggressive. Very nice tires.
