New stance and ride

who makes the best rear sway bar for 3rd gen 4x4, preferably a straight bolt on kit, also looking for a 1.5inch or closely to that drop shackle for the rear springs. being that it is an 2005 4x4 it has the torsion bars so in stead of messing with geometry and lifting the front i want to bring the back end down to help with corning and leveling out the truck thanks in advance!!

Don't have a lot of info for ya on the sway bar. From what little bit I know I would say start by looking at Hellwig. There may be others out there, I dunno. But what little I have read about the Hellwig seemed positive and it is supposed to be a bolt-on install.

As for the rear drop, I would highly recommend Mcgaughys lowering shackles. They are priced right and easy to get a hold of and top quality. I put them on my 2004 QC 4x4 about six months or so ago and I love them.

Thank you very much, as for the drop shackles does it still give your truck w slight forward rake so it doesnt look like its sitting uphill?

The difference between the front and rear of these trucks usually runs about 2.5-3" and you will only actually see 1.5-1.75" of actual drop out of the shackles. So if your front is stock, there is no chance that the shackles will cause it to sit nose-high or "uphill". The shackles will get the truck close to level by eyeball but you will still actually have a little bit of front rake, especially by measure.

My truck was leveled entirely by raising the front with the torsion bars originally. Then I installed the shackles and lowered the front down to make it level. Even so, based on measurements and visual comparison to trucks like mine, my front end is still sitting about .5-.75" higher than stock. Even so, it has never looked nose-high, even with a couple hundred pounds in the bed. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else!

Also, FYI...this is the exact guy I bought my shackles from. He was the best price shipped and had them in stock for immediate shipping. As you see, he has 100% positive feedback. Communication was great and they were at my door in a couple days.

No problem. I hope you are as satisfied with yours as I am mine. Install is pretty easy and straightforward but a lift and air tools would make it super easy.
