Warranty concerns

I'm wondering if an intake and exhaust void's the warranty on my 2013 in any way. I kind of just went ahead with the installs and didn't check with the dealer. I can't see what the issues with it would be but who knows. Has anyone else come across this?

one instance on here a dealer tried telling a member his "custom exhaust" was messing something up and he had warranty issues. I'm pretty sure he fought with them.

that was a rare case. unless they can prove the "modification" ACTUALLY caused the issue, whatever it may be, then they cannot void your warranty.

everyone and their mother adds exhaust/CAIs to these trucks. 1 in a million have problems

Yup, what gonefishin said above ^^ You will only have an issue if the dealer is convinced that your intake or exhaust caused the problem. And off the top of my head I don't see what could go wrong from installing an aftermarket intake or exhaust.

I was told by my dealer that they can not void your warranty, but they can deny your claim. They gave me a situation of if i put after market exhaust on my truck and i bring it in for a exhaust leak, then that would be grounds for denying my claim. But on the other hand if i bring my truck in with custom exhaust and i have a lifter problem then it would have no connection and would not effect the warranty nor be grounds to deny my claim. But thats what the dealer i bought my truck from said.. But around here everyone knows Gosset memphis is sticklers for finding a way out of a $h!tty situation.

Yes, that's a very good way to out it. Essentially what we said above just in different words.
