70 MPH Vibration/Shake on 2010 Laramie
 
So I know this has been addressed before and I have followed all the steps listed in the other threads. I have had the truck aligned, tires balanced, tires rebalanced with a road force balancer, breaks replaced, and my suspension components checked.

Now that I have ponied out all the cash to fix it my dealer wants to use my warranty and replace the steering wheel. The thing is the vibration isn't in my steering wheel it is in the floor boards and seats. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this? What is my next step after they replace my steering wheel and the vibration still persists?

My rule of thumb is if you feel it in the seat of your pants, its driveline related. If you feel it in your hands its steering related. I would look at your u-joints, check the driveshaft for play-maybe you threw a weight off and it needs rebalancing. And maybe I would consider new tires. I read something yesterday where a guy went through what you went through to try to solve it only to find that a tire with less than 1100miles on it had two broken belts and new tires fixed his vibration issue completely.

You may have a bad caliper in the back. This would cause the pad to vibrate at high speeds. If it not the drive line like LOW stated, check your rear calipers.

I've been chasing the VERY SAME ISSUE for the last 100,000 miles on my 2010.

Been through two sets of tires, multiple balancing, had u joints checked, etc. With mine, I swear that some days it goes away completely and other days it's awful - and this is on the exact same roads in the same lanes traveling at the same speed.

I recently installed Goodyear Silent Armors and it's better than it was with my cooper zeons but it's still there. I can watch my coffee cup vibrate in the holder - ridiculous.

Same here also with my 2010. Changed brakes, tires, numerous rebalance of tires and still no resolve. U-joints are ok but mine shakes from 70-85 ish more.

Mine was doing it from 65-75 mph. Took it to the dealer after several tire related trouble shootings and finaly had the drive shaft replaced. Smooth as silk now.

Mine has done it since new too. 2012 Ram Express. Chrysler refuses to do anything under warranty because I replaced the tires trying to get it to stop. Only has 12,000 miles????

I've owned several Rams over the years and have not owned 1 that did not have a shake at the stated speeds. Ive even ridden in in others with the same shake. Sometime tires fix it, I've even had wheels replaced with no resolve. My 2011 has it, next time I have it in they will look at it one more time

Thanks for the advice guys. The dealer is going to replace my steering wheel. If that doesn't work I will have them check my drive shaft. I have a feeling it might be in the drive line since this didn't start until they checked my Pinion Nut recall.

I have had this issue on my 2010 CC since about 55k. The same time I grenades the rear end when the nut fell off.
The rear end was completely gone through all new internals at the 55k mark.
new drive shaft.
I have replaced the tires multiple times. I have changed all brake hardware.
The dealer has done rotation and balance several times. They kept rotating until it went from ok, to worse, back to ok.
They even swapped drive shafts, with another 2010, no luck.

Some days its better some worse. Always happens between 70-75. Sometimes the passenger seat looks like it will jump out of the truck. I have notice that when it starts if i let off or give it a bit of gas it will go away, but it come right back after you level out again.

This is BS that there are that many people are having the same issue, and Mopar doesn't know how to fix.

Has anyone come up with a fix?
