Edge Pro 9.5" VS Circle D Pro II 10.25" Converter

So its time to bite the bullet and get a torque converter. First let me say I have read every thread on 5 different forums and have narrowed my picks down to Edge Pro and Circle D Pro II. I am looking for: quicker acceleration in 60 ft, 1/8 mile, and 1/4 mile (at least a .5 second reduction), good street manners (but can slip a little more than stock at part throttle), high efficiency (low slippage), reliability (I plan on keeping this truck for 10 years), better fuel economy would be nice but at least no worse than my current 16 mpg average. Would like to hear from people that have run one or both of these converters. Thanks for the input.:thk:

My truck: RCSB 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi with: BD Tuner, BBK Ceramic headers, AFE CAI, 180 degree stat, Magnaflow muffler, Sonnax line booster, and 4.10s with LSD. I do not tow or haul, this is my daily driver. I drive very aggressive but may never go to the track. Future mods: mild cam and that should be it (maybe??).

...I could dream too :) , I think I want to go back to a stall as well..I'm running a stock verter because of the nitrous but I'm missing the lower 60 ft times...

You should do it. There are a couple choices for you that can take the nitrous. You could get a triple disc TC to take the extra torque from the nitrous. Like a Circle D or ATS should be good. Im leaning toward Circle D, I read in one of the forums that the smaller 9.5 inch Edge might through codes.

both are great converters, i think the circle D will have better street manners because of the size of the converter being bigger.

If you dont plan on racing all the time, dont even consider a 3000 stall.

Most people are getting a 3000 stall for there daily drivers, and thats just Nuts.

You could get a nice 2600 from Circle-D,and never have to look at it again.
Like me you will for sure see better gas mileage, especially in the city.

I have about 50,000 miles on my Circle-D,and several 18,000lb tow days with it.
The rest of the time I tow between 12.000-15,000 pounds daily.
If you think you can find a better converter your cant.

Thanks guys. I went with the Circle D 258 Pro II 2800-3000 stall. It is being shipped next week. Its a little more money but I plan on keeping this truck 10 years and only wanna do this job once. However, I dont think these stock tires are gonna last to long. :old:
