3.7 to 4.7 swap

I have a couple of questions, I am thinking about swapping a 4.7 in place of my 3.7 . Will the 4.7 bolt up to my transmission? Also is the 4.7 from a jeep the same as a dodge ram 4.7? thanks

Depends on what transmission you have. If it's a (5)45RFE, then yes. If it's the 42RLE, then no. The engines are similar depending on the year. 03-07 would be similar. The 02 and prior use a different tooth tone ring on the crank, and the 08's are VERY different.

BUMP! if there are other threads on this. I would love to know I have 2005 3.7 6spd manual. I would like to upgrade to 4.7L. Any help would be great in deciding. :)
