Radio quality issues after UConnect Update?

Anyone else have a radio that sounds like crap in your 13 Ram? I was told this was a known issue that should be fixed by the latest Uconnect flash update, but nothing change on mine after running the update.

Still sounds like I am in a perpetual nearby lightning storm--lots of crackling and popping. If it isn't a software issue--and it's not a speaker issue (I dont notice the problem with FM or Sattelite radio) I am guessing it's an am reception/antenna issue.

I don't really listen to AM much but the new updated cleared up my FM. It sounds crystal clear now. I will check out my AM when I get a chance.

i haven't tried the latest update yet (unless it's an automatic one...) but my radio seems to be going for a shyt starting today. Drove into work this AM and all was okay....... stopped in for gas....restarted the truck and now have no volume adjustment and can't switch sources, even tho both do show as effective thru the display. tried a restart a couple of times and no change. heat/fan speed adj. all working fine. will be calling dealer this morning.

side note, if AM still sux as bad as before imma gonna be pissed. there's a station i listen to all the time that is all news/traffic and there's nothing on sat. up here for it

Latest news--after a couple of incidents where my cell suddenly stopped pairing with U connect (including one where it stopped, I re-paired it and made a call--left the phone in the truck while it was paired after just making a call-- and came back to find it wasn't paired when re-starting the truck)--I called Uconnect again.

Was told there is a service bulletin firmware update out now to deal with my radio issue--some phone pairing issues--and the radio volume change issues others have reported after the latest flash update--but you need to visit a dealer to get this update--it will not be released to owners.

Since I am already visiting the dealer for the radio next week I hope these issues are taken care of.

Truck is getting worked on as I type. The new flash update is 13.0.71
Service bulletin 08-049-13 describes it. Sounds like it fixes a bunch of known issues that were not covered by the widely available flash update a few weeks ago.

Hold up--the dealer now says there is nothing new for an update out there, and the service bulletin I referenced is for the old flash update.

This is interesting because after I performed that update and still had a few problems, I called Uconnect who told me there is a NEW service bulletin and update out there that will likely fix my problems. Clearly stating this was not the broad flash update--in fact I was told this new update wasn't available to me, only the dealers could access and install it.

I am developing a strong dislike for dodge customer service.....

I D I O T S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be thankful that the customer service folks still speak English.

so after leaving it all that day (some of us gotta work), it turned out fine on my restart to go home. Cancelled the dealer appt. do to work schedule change.

This morning it decided to do the re-boot thing, twice within 30 or so seconds. Start truck, get boot screen, music starts to play. Screen goes black then to boot screen....then goes blank then again to boot screen. music starts again and away i go. no problem the hour drive to work. Had no effect on the center console display (was watching just in case).

When i called to cancel my original appt. i told the service guy "ya, it's the 8.4 so i'm sure i'll see you guys soon anyway. I hear Rams are having a shytload of problems with them". He didn't say anything.
