Fiberglass 4th gen sport hood?

Anyone put on a fiberglass 4th gen sport hood yet? I'm on the fence on if I want a sport hood or not, would rather go glass just for the fact that it wont dent from hail or rocks. But I put a fiberglass hood on my old truck and it took hours of modifying shaving it down and building up just to make it remotely close to the right shape, contours and fit. So anyone else got one? Good or bad?

Running the APM hood myself. Fit was pretty good out of the box, we probably spent an hour fine tuning the body lines before blocking and paint, which is pretty good for a fiberglass hood. Did have to shim the rear of the driverside front fender but that's because the original body line wasn't spot on either.

Yea i can understand the little teaking and modifying. The one I had on my chev was a nightmare. It bowed up in the middle cross ways and didn't match the fender at all. Had to re drill the hinges because the hood sat over a half inch back to far. It was a cervini hood and I paid nearly $800 for it so I had expected some quality but was rather dissapointed. Just worried about the same outcome if I get one for the ram.

I had a suncoast on my '07 and the lines on that one were good as well, it required a bit more prep work as it had a few glass pulls and a rough spot or two, but it didn't require any filler or significant modification.

I've even test fitted the carbon fiber sport hood on the '09 and those lines were just as good as the APM hood and didn't require any surface prep. I could even lift it with one hand, not possible with the APM that's for sure.

What brand was the carbon fiber Kurtis? And what brand do you have trx700xx?

It was a Carbon Creations hood. I believe ViS also makes a carbon hood and have a few design options, but ViS tends to be more expensive.

CC isn't bad for price either, I'd upset all the tuner kids by painting a carbon hood but having it nice and light would be nice.
