I might talk to the guys at SharaDon or maybe ATS. I believe ATS builds different stage 47 RE transmissions for the old Cummins 12 valve guys. So if they will handle 500-600 hp Cummins with close to 1,000 ft/lbs of torque. Then I would do like the diesel guys, bigger transmission cooler, bigger pan, maybe MagHytec has a finned aluminum one. Put a temperature gauge in the dash, then she'll be good for a million miles, hehe.

It took some looking for me to find a flywheel, when I did a manual swap in my truck. Standard Flywheel #3414 is what I used. Good luck on finding one!

sledpuller 10, how do you like the manual compared to the automatic. ive always like the manuals better on my dodge trucks, did it allow the v10 a little more power or change the behavior on it at all?

I like my manual transmission, the nv4500 is hard to beat, but can't speak for the 47rh that was in my truck. When I got the truck the auto was weak and the fluid was dark, so I never drove it.

I did flush my fluid and it was blacker then the engine oil that came out of it. I think it could be a good transmission but I am definatley a manual transmission guy

A lot of V10's are used as work trucks here in Phoenix. You could get on the internet & find wrecking yards here for your V10 parts. Don't have a clue about price or shipping. I sold mine three years ago to a guy that owns a construction company.
