A project truck built in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was unveiled at the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas this week.

The truck is the brainchild of a local machine shop owner who built it to raise funds for the local Children's Hospital. It started out as a 1956 F100. With help from many local companies, as well as Ford itself, the truck features a 5.4L Supercharged Shelby engine and 6-speed manual transmission.

The frame was multi-layer powdercoated in a Pearl Grey finish. The exhaust, in addition to dual Magnaflows, was custom built from stainless steel tubing then ceramic coated from end to end.

The grill was machined from solid 1-1/2" aluminum. The wheels started out as aluminum blanks, with custom machining also done by the local machine shop. The woodgrain in the bed floor is actually machined aluminum as well.

The truck was unveiled at SEMA by Gene Simmons (of KISS) and his wife Shannon Tweed (former Playboy model who grew up in Saskatoon).

The truck will be auctioned off by Barrett Jackson in January 2014.

Beautiful truck. When I was in high school, a friend had one with a supercharged 392 hemi. It would lay rubber like a champ.
