2014 Plasti Dip wheels

Anyone with a 2014 plasti dip their wheels yet? I'm thinking about doing it, wondering if anyone has pics.

I did the badges, but didn't have time for the wheels. I think I have tue off of work so I will do wheels and put up some pics.

I'm not a 2014, but I've plastidipped my rims twice, once when they were on the truck, and once when they were off the truck.

I would pull the rims off when you do it because they look a lot better when you have good access to every little angle.

It's a little bit more hassle taking them off and putting them back on, but I think in the long run its easier and looks a heck of a lot better.

i took mine off when i did em, way better, pick up a pack of index cards to line the outside edge with, no need to tape your tire from overspray

yeahhhhh I tried that.... That was a windy day and it did NOT work well!! haha I cant wait to do them again in a garage or something without the wind.

Index cards are definitely the way to go if the weather plays nice.

did 5 wheels today, 5 because my 4 year old wanted to help by painting with an acorn so I had to peel off and redo one wheel, fun.
I used the trash bag trick to cover the breaks and I didn't cover the tire, that stuff just flakes off the rubber. I did about 4 coats and I thought I was finished then I drove forward enough to see the other side and realized there were a lot of missed spots. I was thinking about keeping the bolts silver but changed my mind so they are all black.
I took come crappy pics tonight, I'll take better ones tomorrow and share.

I'm assuming you just sprayed right over the bolts while they were still on? I have black rims but want black bolts. I wanted to keep my factory wheel lock so was thinking about just plastidipping them as well but wasnt sure about how they would hold up with the gaps/grooves whenever I wanted to wash the truck. Looks good
