is there any true gains from a VARARAM and Fast Man Throttle body
I got myself a vararam intake for my birthday and then picked up a fast man throttle body to install. I'm not really interested in making a racer out of my truck, just a little increase in acceleration and MPG would be nice... Anyone tried this combo alone and did you notice much of anything??

I have a varam on my truck and did not notice any gain, no sound, looks nice but thats about it. We took my dads truck to the track and ran it, brought it home put a varam on it went back to the track with similar weather conditions it gained nothing. Varam claims three tenths I dont think it gained three hundreths. If I was doing it again I would try the S&b

I was hoping combining the vararam with the throttle body would help it take a little bigger breath.. Like I said I'll never take it to the track or race anyone with it but if I could gain a couple HP or add a MPG to aid with towing my camper or hauling wood, atv's, snowmobiles.. ETC.. That would be nice and worth the money I spent..

If it was worth any horse power it would have showed up on the 1/4 mile. I gained zero mpg and nothing at the track.

the electronics have made cai obsolete for any gains. also, the air intakes on rams are already pretty good.

I agree the factory design is pretty good.

so this stuff should just go in the garbage then?? Maybe I'll ebay it all...

If you bought it, keep it. There's no sense in losing money. Many report seat-of-the-pants feel.

I thought Vararam guaranteed a gain? If you're not satisfied, send it back.

anything you do with newer vehicles works better if you program the truck to go with it. The vararam does bring in cool air but from what ive read on here the velocity of the air is the same as stock. I would imagine you would see something if you program the truck according to what you have on it. I did see a small increase in mpg with my vararam like .5-1.0 mpg

I noticed some gains at higer Rpm's with my Vararam on my 06 C6 Vette. Not sure about our version.
