And now a word from your winner.....

http://www.ramforumz.com/PHOTOPOST/d...medium/KAI.jpg

Wow. Uhm. This is surely humbling. Iím not usually good at being in the spotlight, so forgive me if I fumble here! First off.. thank you to all who nominated and voted for me. My 2012 Laramie CC is not the most modded truck on here, by far.. so all of your votes are so very moving as I never thought this would happen to me. I love to help people and I never do it expecting any kind of reward or payback.. this is just.. wow.. thank you.

A special thanks to Arth for sharing his love of chrome and his unending help with my í13 LED tail light project.. PaulMys (and Gabi) for their friendship.. Warlock for helping me find my humor (especially during sad times).. Asur, Blue, brandonjansen, Cajun, CanadianHemiPride, Chunkem, DarthRam, Excoastie, fastNugly, gonefishin776, GTyankee, Grubrunner, Hermes1, RansRAM, RogerRamJet, PapaJohnRam, primospaghetti and sooo many others for all of the advice, support and patience. :shy:

I was out of town and pretty much a fly on the Forum wall the first half of November due to an illness (and eventual death) in my family and was essentially not active on the Forum. When I checked in after a few days, I was stunned to discover that I had been nominated. And now to win. Wow. Especially when considered alongside the other two guys. Canadian Hemi Pride and Primo are amazingly helpful members who are just as deserving of this prestigious title. I thank them as well as everyone else for your support over the last year and half.. and particularly over the last few weeks. This Forum has become more than just a source of info.. you are all like family to me and I am looking forward to meeting you all at Gatty! :D

My name is Kylle (a.k.a Kai). Iím 33, a LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) and live in Price, Utah with my husband, David. I am an Army Vet - enlisted on 9/11/01 and was honorably discharged in 2003 due to health reasons which led to multiple surgeries and me getting on a first name basis with most of the Salt Lake City VA staff over a three year period. I then worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) for two years until an incident at work led to me having bilateral shoulder surgeries which kept me from ever returning to my job in the Rehab Center and Oncology (Cancer) Dept. This saddened me as I love to help others.. make them feel good, laugh, help them get better and simply enjoy life. While laid up with my last surgery in 2010, I saw an ad on TV and ended up going back to school to be a LMT. Only problem was school was a 80 mile one way drive from home. So, for seven months I drove 160 miles every day, six days a week.. understandably, my í99 Tahoe was officially dead by graduation. So I was in the market for a new vehicle.

This is my first Ram, first pickup and first brand new vehicle purchase. I didnít know anything about the truck world or what I was getting myself into. The foremost reason I chose a pickup was the height - I have owned a Thunderbird, Cutlass Ciera, Escort, Grand Marquee, S-10 Blazer and a Tahoe over the years. They all seemed really low to me, even the Blazer and Tahoe. I have always wanted to be higher and a truck fit the bill. When I first joined the Forum, I had NO clue that there was so much that could be added after the fact. I quickly learned the definitions of Ďmodí and Ďaftermarketí here. I also was surprised with how open and welcoming an online forum could be. Everyone here has been so wonderful and helpful! My husband has come around.. he didnít trust anything here at first (actually was really against removing the b pillar tape when Arth and Asur told me about it LOL!) but he has learned (as I have) that you all are awesome and wonít steer me wrong. He now accepts the fact that the Forum is my obsession and that I must give in to it at least a few hours a day.

My mods have been mostly for aesthetic purposes (as most of you already know). I am building what I like to call the Luxury Laramie.. keep the OEM chrome, add a little more for class but not go overboard. Toss in a few practical items like a tonneau cover, DeeZee tailgate assist and Amp Bedstep 2. Nothing special but it works for me. I have had the front leveled 2Ē and I keep thinking I would love more height but my practicality keeps me from doing a lift (it is already too high for my Credit Union drive up window, lol!). And, of course, the lights. I swear, if I could get away with it on my 1500, I would add the dually wheel well clearance lights - but that would look so tacky! Future mods include KC Slimlites, tailgate remote lock kit, tailgate remote release, catch can and maybe a CAI. I have everything needed to wire and install the 2013 LED tail lights, but my husband is out of town until December and I require his assistance.

Since joining I have made friends, gained a Ram family, learned more about my truck (and spent way more than I had ever planned when I first got the truck lol!) and so much more. I thank each and every one of you. Thank you for creating the Forum, for being there for others and for the opportunity for me to be there for others as well. I am privileged to be involved in such a superb Forum and will strive to continue to contribute to, assist and support others as much as I have been! I am flattered to be chosen to join the ranks of the MOTM club and am overjoyed to bear the Orange Badge.

Ram on, Kai

P.S. I apologize for my long-windedness. I simply had to say everything on my mind and you all mean so much to me that I couldnít bear the thought of trying to abbreviate or leave any of this out.

Congratulations Kai on a well deserved win. Wa1 to go! (<- I never cease to amaze myself at my cleverness)

I for one am happy to have been here to lend a hand, shoulder, and to help in your times of relative despair. You are truly an asset (<-does that mean female ass?) to the community. You are a respected member that has valuable insight as well as advise when (mostly) requested.

I appreciate your mention (who are all those other people?) and would like to add...always the best man but never the groom,.

Again congratulations on being a member of the orange-badge club.

That's what MOM is all about. Even saying that you do have one great looking RAM. Again Congrats and I'll get some reps to you once this system lets me, apparently I have to spread it around LOL

Congratulations KAI !!
You have done yourself proud with your Mods & great looking yet functional Ram
When you started asking questions i had to wonder if you were just curious or were actually thinking about a couple mods, you did your research & made great decisions.
You are definitely an asset to the RamforumZ :)
