Pcv ?s

My 06 4.7 ram pcv is sucking air when i pull off the tube to the intake box i thought it was supposed to blow air out into the intake?

When the throttle is closed at idle, there's vacumn inside the crankcase.
The pistons are creating a vacumm in the cylinders that transfers to vacumn in the crankcase when the throttle blade is closed, and the engines just idling.
Piston rings are designed to seal under pressure, they'll leak if vacumn is applied to them.
Nothing serious, what you're experiencing is normal

Is this a pcv and CCV system unlike the 05 and older trucks?

I'm not familiar with the older 4.7's,but their PCV system shouldn't be much differant.
PCV systems have operated pretty well on the same basic principle for the last 40 years.
Once the throttle blade is open, vacumn in the intake manifold drops off,and you start to get cylinder pressure leaking past the rings, and pressurizing the crankcase, leading to positive crankcase pressure, opposite of what happens at idle, when the crankcase is under vacumn.
I'm a one finger typer,and i'm a little tired tonight,but i hope that makes sense

If your PCV valve is located towards the back of the drivers side valve cover,it should have a plastic line from it to the intake.
On mine,i cut the plastic line swiveled the PCV valve to face the opposite direction, and slid my catch can hoses over the cut plastic line, then mounted the can on the firewall.
I've seen the cans mounted in differant spots, they aren't real critical on where you mount them,so you'll have to look around your engine bay for a mounting location that works for your application

Does yours have the valves or whatever they are on the back of the heads? I think that's how the new ones are I'm not real sure cuz I can't get my big ass head back there to the back cuz the fire wall lol I originally mounted the can to the air box and hook it up but then noticed that the plastic line to the air box pulls air not expelles air! First truck I've had that operated such way!

By the sounds of it,you've tied into the wrong line.
The PCV ties into the intake manifold behind the throttle blade or blades if it's a carb,it shouldn't be tied to an airbox line.
On my 13 the valve is towards the back of the drivers side valve cover, and is blue.

I gave up on this project just didn't feel comfortable cutting that line being that it's so far back there and is just a pain lol save my money for other goodies!
