Need Help Air Conditioner Problems 2007 1500

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 ST 2wd single cab. Recently the AC stopped blowing cold air. The condesor fan is working properly, but i am hearing a fairly loud thunk in the dash a couple seconds after I hit the AC switch. Can anybody tell me what might be causing this, or if it is something that somebody with intermediate mechanic skills can accomplish on my own?

Is your compressor working? Does the clutch engage and spin when you turn the A/C on?

my 2001 is doing the same thing, if you turn it off then back on it blows cool again. This happens when I slow down or hit the brakes, i have found that putting the switch on max and the fan on high it wont shut off as much, looking for a cure myself

yes everything is working, but you can hear like the blend door or something pop then hot air comes out

The blend doors are bad about breaking in these trucks, my 05 4X4 the door for fresh or recycle broke off and slowed air too near nothing, I pulled the blower motor and fished it out now it blows hard, but IDK may get cold air in this Winter.
My 06 ST 4dr won't blow out the bottom on Heat, just Dash or Defrost. I Sold my 04 2500 that would only blow out the Dash vents. The Heat and A/C in these Trucks, ARE JUNK!

But Still the Best Work Truck on the road. And my Wife and I Do Work Hard!
