Congratulations to our March Winner!!

TransEngineer

And now a word from your winner.....

http://www.ramforumz.com/PHOTOPOST/d...nsEngineer.jpg

I really am a transmission engineer, having worked for Chrysler in truck driveline / transmission engineering for over 35 years. A few years ago (if I recall correctly) someone forwarded me a link to a transmission question on RamForumz, asking whether I might have some input. I posted an answer to that question, then went looking for others where I could provide some insight, and, well, the rest is history.

I really enjoy (1) helping other people and (2) explaining technical things in a way that most "regular" people can understand them. I've been to technical lectures where some PhD apparently tried to impress us lowly peons with his superior intellect (mostly by rapidly spewing streams of technical terminology), but I couldn't understand what in the world he was talking about! I much prefer a simple, down-to-earth explanation that makes sense, that people can visualize and understand. I think most owners like to understand "why" something works (or doesn't work!), rather than just getting the answer to "how do I fix it?", so I try to provide that.

I am a Christian, and I often ask God to use me to be a blessing to others. I find that I am blessed when I can be a help to someone else. So if my forum posts and PM answers have been a help to other members, that is a real win-win situation. It blesses BOTH of us! God has been so good to me, in saving me and forgiving me for my (many) sins, simply because I trusted Jesus Christ as my Saviour, and called on God (back in 1978) for salvation. And now He continues to bless me, by allowing me to share what little insight I have with all of you RamForumz members. God bless you all, and I wish you all the best (and no transmission problems!).
