Door Speaker Grille 2014
I haven't tried yet, but I want to ask before I do try...
Are the plastic grilles over the speaker removable without removing the door panel? I've got dirt/grit/salt in the holes and want to clean them - but I want to remove them from the door to do it so I don't damage the speakers.
Any chance anyone has some pictures, if they do come off, so I can see where the plastic clips are?
If they're not removeable, any tips on how to clean the holes safely?
I've detailed the entire inside of the truck and those grilles are the only spot that are dirty now. :4-angermax:
I think you need to remove the door panel. The front panel comes off very easily by removing the 5-6 door pins, one screw under the door opener and pop off the side trim by the mirror, disconnect the window/door switches and lift up on the panel. Takes less than 5 minutes to remove.
Rear door is the same except for the plastic trim at the back of the window which just pops off.
Damn... Was afraid of that. I was hoping I didn't have to get that involved with it. LOL Probably be quicker with a rag on the tip of a screwdriver... :) Safer anyways!
