Whats all the Hype with the Diablo tuner?

Im not really sure what all this tuner is good for. Their exspensive so what is the benifit of buying one ? Whats all the Hype with these.

It might not be in your case. For me, I run a pretty hot SRT8 cam, headers, no cats and the Varararam cold air and a 3,000 rpm stall converter. My truck would not run without a custom (hemifever) dyno tune for 93 octane. Raised shift points to 6,200 rpm:smileup: I'll bet if you got with (hemifever) and had your Ram tuned with a Diablo tuner, you would be grinning pretty hard. Why, Diablo stopped making the Predator, that's a mystery. But I'm old. My 93 year old dad, asks WTF did Ford stop making the Model A for?:wow:

Ok thanks for replying well im not looking to put my truck on the track or make it any faster its got plenty of power for what i use it for the only thing im interested in is better fuel economy. Will any of the tuners help that and do they help enough to justify how exspensive they are, and so which do you reccomend?

Keep your money if you want better fuel economy.

Keep you foot as light on the pedal and let that mds kick in, there is your fuel economy!

I'm running the Diablo Trinity on my 13 and I get better mileage but I never really see it because the tuner will have you passing everything except the next gas station. But the increase in power and firm gear shift is wondefful.

Plus you can read and clear fault codes that would other wise leave you in limp mode

That right there is the info I was looking for! 16 MPG is killing me when I drive 960 miles to the oil rig. Now when headed home my foot gets heavier and I get 14 MPG! :Wow1:
