MPG drop due to tire change

I have an 02 SLT Ram. Stock tires are 245 70R 17. I changed to 265 17's and my gas mileage went way down. I didn't expect this staying with 17 inch tires. Shluld the computer be adjusted for the tire size or is a 2 to 4 mpg drop normal?

You should not see that much of a difference it that size difference. My 02 4.7 I went from the 265 to a 285 and didnt see much difference.
