the front end or back end? that is the question!
I'm gonna get my dad his first mod for his 04 5.7 Ram for his anniversary. and either, i am gonna add a Billet Grill (which he has always wanted) or some LED tail lights (which he has recently expressed a LOT of interest in) so i want to see what kind of effort goes into doing this, cause we would do the work ourselves (as most of us do i think) and also what a good brand is, im sure we have some local vendors you will recommend.

Also, what other kinds of mods are there that are pretty standard and cheap, the kind every1 does first? thanks!

i would have to say the best mod to start off with is a cold air intake .... , then a programmer then uprgrading more along the way but if your only going for looks then has some nice things too or going to has a ton of different things i personally love my rear powerslider backglass that and a nice roll up tonneau cover ( i personally think the fiberglass hard covers are old lol ) at least with a roll-up or power sliding one you can still load the rear with whatever and dont lack the space of a hard tonneau cover or even getting a roll pan ( steel is my preference and getting it painted for a couple hundred buck is a good add on but check stuff out on those site and post back what you decide to do

well first things first................:4-looney: :thk:

is this anniversary just include him or someone else as well.....?

is this his anniversary for when he bought the truck :4-dontknow:

and remember Father knows best..

my vote goes for the billet grill... if it was the first thing he wanted then get it
you kno him better than us....

post a pole on votes for what we think he should get and that way we are all invovled
if it would help you in your decision, i'm all for it

Do the grill's the biggest single visual change you can make. There are soooo many there's no way I could recommend just one vendor...that's gonna have to be your choice!

Its my parents anniversary, im gonna help my mom go in on something for the truck, and shes counting on me to figure out what he would want for it. phenomonon i would totally be with you on a few of those, but my dad just wants the things that will make it look nicer, atleast for now, no performance stuff. he also wants the full sliding window, weve always talked about that, but i assume its a much bigger product. also, the grill is just the 4 inserts? pop out the honeycomb and put the new billet in right? or is there another alternative?

If it were between those 2 things my vote goes for a grill.

ok, sounds like the Grill is our best bet. does anyone have a brand that they like in particular? or idk if there has been a thread showing off all the different Grills every1s got, just to compare?

yea no problem the rear sliders normally run 600 bucks and having a glass company put it in for you i could do it for you but, you know the distance lol find out by calling a local a shop and see what kind of discount or whatever they can give you but as for the grill theres a few bolts up top the hood and the whole thing should come off its been a while but if im wrong someone can correct me, i know its a simple task, but as for taste in the grille i like the t-rex grille you dont see it very often the flame thing i think is getting out of porportion but the grill looks like teeth but good luck finding things for your dads anniversary and tell em' happy anniversary from the forums lol

Check out autoanything, I used them a lot for buying parts for the H3, and they have a nice selection of billet grilles!
