Good Read about car dealers
GM does not want to work with there dealers but it's okay to send money overseas.
That is interesting, even though, to me, it doesn't seem as though they have too much room to be picky.
GM & Dealers have this internal conflict...with sales down, they need to maximize profit on each sale...but they can't maximize profit and keep the prices high in a soft market, so it's a classic Catch-22.
So, the dealers have to do what they can to survive. If that means blending competing mfgr lines with current lines, they'll do it. This may demonstrate a potential model and outcome if manufacturers have to do the same thing, much like the recent agreement between Chrysler and Fiat.
Some interesting outcomes are expected before this all shakes out. Before ya know it, all we'll have to choose from is a Toyota/Fiat/Chrsler/Chevy/Ford/Honda/Dodge electric/hydrogen/biomass fuel sipping Dumb Car....LOL
