Oil problem
I only have one issue with my truck. When I rev the motor up my oil light comes on and the motor starts to bog down and looses power. I have no clue what it could be. If any of you have any idea I would appreciate it. Also, if you have an Idea please tell me how to check it.

Also, I have a 1992 dodge 150 4x4 318

how many miles do you have on your 318... the reason I ask is there's a phomonemon the overwhelming number of the masses aren't aware of.

about 15,000 on the rebuilt motor. and 160,000 is what shows on the odometer

Get into the engine... From the oil pump down to the sump, something isn't sealed. If she's bogging as you give her gas, this is most likely a friction issue. 15K isn't enough for me to comment on anything else but a true mechanical failure, assembly mishap, etc...

Sounds like the oil pump is cavitating (air) and may not be totally set in place or isn't sealing to the block.

I have had it checked out 4 times and they can't find nothing wrong with the oil pump/anything to do with oil.

Unless they've removed the pump, they're guessing. The only other thing to go wrong would be the oil pressure sender... they do fail but it's rare.. usually a failure relates to a leak....

Ok thanks, I will check it when the rain dies down.
