the silver painted wheels are the look im after , to bad your so far away. shipping would be a killer.

i'm tryin to figure out whats under the chrome hubcap , it might be a painted rim for all i know... i guess i'll have to pull a wheel and find out. i was shocked that they where hubcaps , i was even more surprised when i asked the saleman about the hub caps and he said "no way.. thats a chrome rim" , boy was he more shocked than i was. its a aluminum wheel but just a chrome hub cap. they use the same cheap hubcap on the new challengers also. kinda cheap in my book but hey i would never have thought to check and ill give dodge credit , till you actually go to clean them you'd swear it was a chrome rim.

Prolly bare steel or aluminum. I believe that chrome cover is bonded to the bare metal with super industrial strength adhesive.

Now some possibilities, if you can get that cover off, is to paint or powdercoat the wheel.

yeah i took a good look at them today and thats the conclusion i came up with , they are bonded on somehow. funny thing is if i look down the lug hole and around the valve stem and it looks like they are bonded to painted rims........ DAMN DAMN DAMN , wish i would have had them swap on a set of painted rims befor i left the lot with the truck. im thinking the painted silver would look better on the truck seeing how its bright silver. time to start lookin for some dealer take off's.

Dang dang dang, I would sure take those off your hands if we were closer. I am looking for another set of wheels to mount some more aggressive tires on.

Do you think it is possible the caps are fastened with retainer clips? If they were removable, it would be easy to replace the cap instead of the whole rim if you damaged one. I am sure there is some kind of painted finish underneath to protect against rust. I would like to remove mine and paint them matte black.
