Is this a heater core leaking?

I've read and searched, and I see lots of references to heater core leaking and the passenger floor being wet.

Well, I have this strange fluid, that doesn't look like antifreeze, more like soda... coming out here. There was clearly a dog in this truck before I got it, and there was clearly soda spilled on the dash/radio/etc.

So, is this where the coolant comes out when the heater core is leaking?

Thanks.

It does look like antifreeze to me...

I dunno about the carpet (didn't look green in person), but what's in that vent looks like weeks-old coca-cola.

Regardless, is that where they leak from when the heater core goes?

Oh, and the reason I can't just go by the level of the coolant is because the radiator is leaking too. And, I figure while the system is drained, I might as well tackle the heater core (if needed) and radiator. Thanks

I had a heater core leak once, and it does go all over the passenger floor. I would think you have more than a leaking radiator.

Thanks, I'm just happy to learn I won't have to evac the AC system like I thought I would.

Did yours dribble or puke? Last time I had a core go, it seemed like all the coolant ended up inside the rig.

that looks like oil mixing with antifreeze, take yur radiator cap off and look at the color of yur anti-freeze is it pink/or/green or gray or ?

idk, my first thought was heater core .

get a good chiltons or something repair manual and read up on replacing the heater core, it can be tricky,

Yup, that's where it leaked from when my Bronco II went out. Right onto the floorboard, while heading back to Arkansas during Christmas weekend one year. The steam actually melted one of my N64 controllers. At least it still worked though! Just a little difficult to hold...
