Grinding noise when accelerating from stop.
I'm new to these forums. I've recently purchased an 05 1500 hemi. I just noticed that when i'm accelerating from stop, there's a grinding noise under the truck for about 2 seconds and once i'm up past 20mph the noise goes away.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks in advance.

have you check the condition of the rotors or rear drums if aplicable,

grinding ? can u get it to grind in reverse, does it chatter wen it grinds,
does it grind all the time,

grinding ? as in tearing metal or like as in an aluminum can ripping open ,

wut about turning does it click wen u accelerate ?

you might be on to something with the rotors. The noise is like metal rubbing against each other. it doesn't chatter. just rubs for like 2 seconds and the truck is going, the noise goes away. only happens in drive from stop. i accelerate, makes the rubbing noise for 2 seconds, and it goes away. I hope it's as simple as warped rotors or worn pads and not a problem with something major like the transmission.
thanks again for the insight.
