Alot of these reprogrammers do work and will help with better mpg as long as you can behave yourself and don't constantly hammer it .

Ya, we are waiting for the Predator to come out, it will help some.

Actually, I have been rather impressed by the mileage my Ram is getting. I am running in the mid 16s MPG around town and up to 21 MPH on the two lane highways (usually around 19-20). I towed my boat (20’ walleye boat) 500 miles last week and it ran in the mid 14 MPG range for the entire trip, which is only about 2 MPG less than my Ford diesel use to run with the same load. These numbers are off the truck’s computer but when hand calculating the mileage a few times it seems to be fairly accurate. I have 3.55 gears with the Hemi.

Good air filter...and a good tune and you'll get 3 or 4 mpg better...not much more than that though most liekly

Hi All:
I drove home from the dealer and the the MPG average said 10.2 As more miles are put on the mileage gets better. I am now at 4700 miles and around town it gets 17-17.5 mpg and highway i have hit 22.6. The milage dropped for a while when I put the mufflex 18" muffler on it as it sounded so good I could not keep my foot off the "go" pedal.

I also have the K&N hi pro air filter on it, so I have increased the HP a little and get very good gas milage. It is the HEMI with 3.55 gears so I can't complain.

I find that with the dual exhaust, I pound the gas quite a bit to hear that roar. It definitely eats gas. I think if you drive around like a grandpa, you'll be able to get much better gas mileage.

I know just what you mean. I am going to be 65 years old on Sept. 25 and hate all the old fogeys who drive too slow. My grand kids love to go for a ride in the big, loud, yellow truck with grandpa. When you have been "hot rodding" cars for 50 years it is hard to break old habits. So now you have something to look forward to.
