Cylinder Displacement

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram SLT Quad Cab Hemi 4X4. Is there any way to buy and install a cylinder displacement chip for it? It's my work beast! I do serious amounts of highway traveling and it would help my business out huge.

Welcome to the Z!!! Are you meaning you want to have something like MDS or are you looking for a tuner to adjust shift points for pulling power/better mileage?

Thx bro this forum is pretty tight and really responsive! I'd like to have some something like the MDS. The shift points at the moment are perfect for my contracting work.

Not sure Ive seen any "chip" persay, but I bet you put a good tuner in there, maybe a CAI, Exhaust, anything to help airflow, you will achieve a nice balance of performance and fuel economy

All reasonable options. My budget stands at about $800 right now. If there is no true mds out there, what would be the first mod you think to go with?

The basic 3- Intake, Exhaust, Programmer.....Might I suggest Diablosport for the programmer....BFI or K&N for intake.... and Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla, Gibson for the exhaust

With a budget of $800 you may be able to put 2 of the 3 basics on there. You can also fabricate your own Intake with supplies from home depot for quite cheap, still works and functions just as good.

Ah even with all the mods on my truck it's hard to get over 12mpg. Stupid 5.9 :(

You may be able to get all three for $800 if you wait for a good deal on each. But they would definitely be best bang for buck improving your mileage.

.Mds won't work on your year...you have to have different lifters for it to be even feasable..I agree with the other guys..do the simple stuff like cai, catback exhaust, new Y pipe and programmer...at least it should be more efficient that way...

Agree with everyone . Intake , exhaust , programmer .
