Well I'm a lover of synthetics . Look at Amsoil . You're low mileage so you''ll get great benefits from it . I am running it in all my cars motor and transmissions . It cost more but you don't have to change it as frequently if you select the correct line of amsoil products . So in the long run you actually will make out . Can't go wrong .

yeah if you want to go with synthetics, and do not mind spending the money, I would say Royal Purple oil is a great way to go to...But once you go full synthetic, its not recommended to go back to the convensional oils, so keep that in mind also...

ya i was kind of thinking about royal purple my friend uses it in his f150. Any know where the cheapist place for it is? or is it about the same everywhere

CHILLZ HEMI 09-17-2009 06:58 AM

to my knowledge its about the same everywhere...some spots online will sell it for 1-2 bucks less but will charge shipping and all...

Just a question on synthetic. I know its great, but can you use it on 2001 5.9 with 154k and never used it on the motor before.

CHILLZ HEMI 09-17-2009 01:42 PM

yeah sure...go for it...if you prefer it over high mileage oil...
