Paducah, KY

This was at a private airfield in Paducah last year. Unfortunately the owners didn't allow us to drag race again this year. That little car got me off the line, but I ran him down. :D

I'm hoping so. With my new 4.56 gears, Detroit Truetrac and traction bars (to be installed ASAP) I should be able to leave the starting line with a lot more throttle. Believe it or not from the factory my truck came with a 3.92 open differential (peg-leg). It's difficult to leave hard with a peg-leg. I just got my Magnaflow y-pipe put on and haven't had any chance to get to the track with it. But my seat of the pants dyno says throttle response is better and it chirps into 2nd louder than before. The factory y-pipe is very restrictive.

Hows that Detroit Truetrac work . Is is a locker ? How much did it cost ?

Quiet Lunatic 09-22-2009 10:53 PM

The Truetrac doesn't use clutches. I suppose you could call it a type of locker. Here's a good animation of it. If you double-click on it you can watch it on youtube in HD.

You can find the Truetrac for around $500 or a little more. I got the gears, install kit, and Truetrac 2 wheel drive package for $778.00 at Moe's.
