Wandering Ram- 1998 4wd.

My wife drove the truck and said it wanders a lot. I guess I just got used to it, but she's right. I have not investigated it at all yet, but wondered if there is a commonly known steering/suspension item I should look at first- tie rods, steering knuckle, stabilizer, etc.

Yes, I'd look at all of those plus the track bar and links.

Welcome to the forum! Take a moment, go to the Newbie Section and introduce yourself and your truck. Extra credit if you post up pics. ;)

Track bar , center link , tie rod ends , excessive play in steering box .......

Good idea, Tom. Didn't think about the steering box. I wonder if the Dodge units have adjustments to tighten them up. Probably not but it might be good to check.

Yes , I do believe their adjustable . I was gonna help a friend reseal his box and remember looking down and seeing the adjuster .

Those all sound like the most likely causes. Have you noticed any abnormal wear on the tires from a misalignment or is it just wandering?

And make sure you swing by the newbie section and introduce yourself.
