WOW!!!! Not too Happy

Got my truck a week ago exactely and already the check engine light came on.

All fluid levels were fine and gas cap on tight.
Took it in for diagnostics and said i have a small leak somewhere.
Taking it in today

Not happy at all!!!!!!

CHILLZ HEMI 10-13-2009 12:00 PM

well what did the code say that you read from the diagnostic machine???? It should give some type of specific detail to know where to look....

JBSPartans05 10-13-2009 12:05 PM

There were 2
Vcm Emission failure
Then something along the line of small leak??

CHILLZ HEMI 10-13-2009 12:10 PM

no clue what that is....but take it in, tell them about it...they should fix it asap...and let us know whats up man....

JBSPartans05 10-13-2009 12:11 PM

Emission Failure? Interesting...

Could be a defective gas cap . Any way they have ways of pinpointing the leaks .

Sparky 10-13-2009 05:23 PM

I believe that code means gas cap, It will come up two different ways small leak (loose) and big leak (off/very loose) It is not a big deal!!! Reset your computer my removing battery terminals for a few minutes and then recheck.

Gas caps have to click at least 3 times, otherwise you will get an emissions leak code. You can check the codes yourself with the key dance anyways, right? Post them up, some of us can tell you the nature of the problem and you may not have to spend anything.

Interesting to see what they come up with. Hopefully nothing big and at least it's under warranty still.
