5" Flip Kit

Ok, so I'm a poor college kid and can't afford to drop a ton on money on a full drop kit, so I'm thinking about just buying pieces at a time. The back of my truck (2007 Doge Ram Quad Can SLT w/ 4.7) is pretty high so I was thinking about getting a belltech 5" flip kit but leaving the front stock for now. Would that look weird or would it look alright temporarily?

Thanks for any input.

It'd look weird IMO> I recommend saving every penny, sell what you dont use, and go to Stylin concepts and get the 4/6 drop for $540. Its the flip you want for the rear (flips do 6" really) and springs and spindles up front ...2" each for a 4" front drop. I just did this to mine, and it looks and rides amazing.
If you insist on buying pieces here and there, thats cool, just install them all at once.

Definatly wait and go to stylintruck.com, look up discount codes on google, like type in stylin trucks discount codes and it will pull some stuff up, i got 20 percent off my 4/6 kit, it was 20 percent off anything over 400bucks...great deal and it only took me 5 mins to find a code. hope this helps

great ideas to buy the kit whole. Here in Gainesville alot of people are lowering the rear of their trucks and they say it gives a bulldog effect. I imagine if u look at a bulldog from the side u would get it but it would resemble to me like a truck with hydraulics in the front always up. on a bad note u would lose lots the sight on the road so u would destroy a car in front of u

I think it would look wierd as well, save your pennies for the kit

Thanks for the input guys. I think I've decided to just save up another $100 or so and get the McGaughy's 2/4.5 from godfathercustoms.com

does anyone have any pics of a 2006-2008 quad cab with that kit?

I doubt godfathers is cheaper than stylin. Godfather is local for me, and I can assure you, they are not usually the best deal. Just be sure before you spend hard earned $$!
Good luck!

Wow, sometimes I wish I drove a 2wd instead of lowering my 4x4 by 2/4, that's a thrid of the price!

The stock # is the same on both kits, so i'd say go with the GFC kit cuz it's cheaper for the same kit. :wow: Hope someone will jump in here, after the drop will he need to change the shocks on the front out with shorter ones or will the stocks be fine pre-loaded?

a good thing about stylin is if you call and order it or do the online chat with a salesman you can get an even better deal (even though their list price is usually the best) But I recomend talking to a salesman and don't act that interested just act like your getting a quote and they will do anything they can to get you to order it now. So if you don't mind a high pressure sale it can work out to benefit you price wise if you really want to order it. I've seen it done multiple times
