Help me please

The other day i was on the highway coming home and my truck developed a front end noise. when i turned the wheel to the left the noise went away. its sort of a whomp whomp noise i guess thats how id spell it. i can feel it through my drivers side floor board. i jacked the truck up and and i could shake the drivers wheel around so i figured it must be the wheel bearing. after painstakingly beating the hell out of the hub assembly to get it removed i put the new one back on. there is no more play in the wheel but the noise is still there!!!!!!!!!!!

any ideas??????/

check the u-joint. same thing happened to mine and it was that. but also before i changed it along with the whomping noise there was a clank so when you spin the wheel listen for that too lol

i figured it out. the other front hub is bad too. Id like to thank dodge for putting a steel hub on a aluminum knuckle. i have been beat the hub for 2 hours with not even a 1/16 of an inch of results. stupid just plain F'ing stupid

At least you figured what the problem is, and some stress relief practice too... even if it's the reason your frustrated ;)

Well glad to hear you got it figured out . Need to do us a favor . Go to the User CP and complete your profile for us . I didn't know if your truck was 2wd or 4x4 . That would help us out next time you need some assisstance . Thanks . Tom
