How do you pull the dash out?

Alright so I bought a 96 ram 2500, as they normally do, mine had the cracked dash pad, so got a new dash pad off of ebay, started pulling the old dash pad out when it started breaking, figured gone too far now so i kept going, until I found out that the dash has screws going through the inside, so Im guessing the only way to replace the dash pad is to pull the whole dash out, so can anybody tell me how to pull the dash out, or any easy way to replace the dash pad? also my old dash pad is completely off, kinda broke in my hands so i broke the rest of it off, any advice would be highly appreciated

Did you buy a dash or dash cap ? Didn't think a 96 had a replaceable pad ?

The ones I've seen just get glued over the existing dash . From their website :Dashcaps are a precision-formed plastic cover that quickly slips over the existing dashboard. Permanent installation takes just a few minutes and the results are beautiful. No more cracks, splits or tears are visible. Dashcaps are an inexpensive way to hide the damage that sun and heat causes dashboards.

o no this is the actual dash, I was thinking about doing the dash cap thing but my dad didnt want to go that route, besides my old dash is already gone, in a 100-200 pieces, I need to find a way to put the new actual dash on

I've pulled my dash several times . Not a ten minute job . Start by pulling the glove box , dash bezels , radio , climate controls , dash cluster , and just keep going . No real way of doing it than just keep pulling things off . Will have to lower the steering column , if not even pull it would make it easier .
