Front end wobble

I have a front end vibration that seems to occur between 45 to 55 mph, it gets better past 55 or under 45. It is 2006 dodge 4/4 with larger aftermarket dick cepek tires that were already on it.

Two things...track bar may be worn and you may need a steering stabilizer added to the front.

Does the steering stabilizer make a big difrence

erm 11-13-2009 10:22 PM

Yeah, it does!

track bar

Is it dificult too replace the track bar and add the steering stabilizer ?

hankwil 11-13-2009 10:25 PM

track bar

Do you know if there are better than stock track bars readily available

erm 11-13-2009 10:33 PM

No, it's not difficult and yes, there are better track bars available. I got mine from LMC Truck for my '99. I believe MOPAR makes an upgraded one as well. Moog makes a lot of parts for your truck. I'd Google them up and check their application chart.

2006 1500 doesn't have a steering stabilizer because of the IFS. I am currently looking for one; thus far Fabtech is the only company that makes one and there is a big BUT that comes with it. According to Fabtech the stabilizers can only be used in conjunction with their 6" lift. I was told that the geometry is wrong for anything less. If anyone nows of an IFS kit please let me know. Thanks
