Stacks should only be used on diesels IMO.

I agree stacks go with the diesel havnt seen any myself with gas engines. Looks sick though either way haha

Stack on a gas motor would be a first for me. Let's see it when you are done. I would assume it would be pretty loud...

I have seen them on a gas bowtie out here... just does NOT sound right. They belong on a diesel to get the smog away from the ground... that's all.

i'd be curious to hear a stacked hemi...

Didn't the Lil Red Express have stacks? If I recall correctly it was a gas engine (perhaps the 360cu)

Someone I work with has a 3500 (it's got the big Cummings) with 61/2" custom stacks. He regrets doing it, as they cross over in the bed (there wasn't room underneath to do the crossover there)he's caught a bale or two of hay on fire from the heat, and he has to put covers over the stacks when it rains and he's not running the truck (he calls it putting on his stack condoms). He didn't get the flappers (due to lack of a better term) and they're not angled (he says that the angled ones just put you in a cloud of diesel soot).

good luck and let us know what route you take

Exco

I've never seen it but stacks are best done for diesels. I think that doing it on a gas truck would make it look like a poseur or a wanna-be diesel.

It's Cummins NOT Cummings............. Leave the Stacks for the Diesels! I have saw a D150 lifted 10" with some 3" Stacks.... Not really all that bad looking but no real performance gains so WHY DO IT???? The Diesel Stacks are 99.9% a FAD because everyone wants there truck to look like a real sled puller when they will never hook anything to even the bumper.....
