Bumper question

Will the painted bumpers from say a 01 ram 1500 sport work on my 96 ram 2500? Im pretty sure the rear will work, but not too sure about the front, since they may have different frames, also will the fog lights that go on the corner work for the 96 from the newer 01?

i dont see why not they are pretty much the same....i'd check the brackets and mounting to see if they are the same

:thk: Yes im pretty sure they will fit. Do you have them to take a look at the brackets?

cool, no I dont have them, its just something Ive been thinking about doing, once I get it ready for paint, get some paintable bumpers and grille and replace the chrome

it will work

Yes you can interchange the front bumpers...just make sure you have all the brackets. We just did this swap in the bodyshop at our dealership...looks great, and if you can get a sport grille and grille frame it looks even better.

The brackets and sub-frame are different so you'd have to get those but yeah, it will work. The foglight opening in the Sport front fascia is larger than the two portholes in the standard bumper. I'd get a set of foglights for a Sport model...they'd look a lot better and will fill the holes.
