Oil, oil and oil!
I'm sure this has been addressed a thousand and one times, but I am new to the Dodge world. Which synthetic oil should I use in my 08 hemi ram 1500? I have 18000 miles on my engine. I hear good and bad things about mobil 1, royal purple, quaker state, valvoline.... etc. I just don't know how to make sense of it all. Thanks for everything guys.

I've used Mobil 1 for years in several engines and a lot of miles. Absolutely no problems with any of the engines. When I decided to tear down the one small block for a bore and stroke after 140K + miles it looked just fine.

So, I'm sold on Mobil 1. I'm sure the others are just fine but I am gonna go with what has worked best for me.

I run AmsOil throughout my truck. A top grade oil, comparable to the Royal Purple. Only problem can be finding a dealer as it's not carried in stores.

I use Mobil 1 and it's also what comes in the Viper engines. Just be sure to use the correct weight as its critical for proper MDS operation.

Amsoil here .

I've been running run Royal Purple in everything for a few years now and no problems. Before that I ran Castrol Syntec with no problems. I think Mobil 1, Amsoil, and Royal Purple are probably 3 of the best. They seem to be the 3 that everybody argues over which is the best on most of the forums I'm on. You probably can't go wrong with any of them.

valvoline here.

Been an Amsoil dealer for a few years so that's what I use, before that I used Mobil 1. You should be able to find Amsoil at many auto parts stores, you can get it almost everywhere in my area.
