Got Pranks?
I was just thinking back to a pretty harmless prank that I pulled on an old co-worker that made me smile and thought I'd share.

This guy left for a week's vacation. He's a neat freak with obsessive compulsive tendencies; everything has to be in the exact correct spot in his office all the time.

So while he was on vaca, me and another guy re-arranged his office, and set everything up upside down. His chair, his desk, computer, lamps, phones, file cabinets, pictures, clocks. If it was in his office, when he came back it wasn't where he left it and it was upside down.

Same guy, different time. He takes off for a doctor's appt one day. We post-it noted his entire desk and computer. Would have done the entire office but didn't have enough post-it notes in the office.

Anybody else got some pranks they have pulled?

We had a guy who kept taking 'food' breaks on the drilling rig. He wasn't diabetic, he just ATE all the time. We froze his lunch pail half-way up the derrick with water in the middle of winter. It ended up staying there for a week before it finally warmed up enough to come off.

LOL...good pranks!

We had a fellow co-worker go on vacation for a week.

We put clear packing tape, sticky side up, on his chair. We Vaselined his phone handset. We unplugged everything in his cubicle.

Then, we got some clear cellophane box wrapping material, blocked off his cubicle door and filled his cube with packing peanuts.

He got his payback on each of us later...LOL

Man, I would give you some stories but if anyone finds out I'm looking at a lawsuit, and possibly criminal charges... :(

I do this all the time in my shop, mainly to the tech 3s....If they do a brake job, struts/shocks, and leave their old parts sitting around the shop when they are done, and then go on lunch or even go home...I take the parts, set them on their tool box, or tool cart in a "fashionable" manner, and clear tape the hell out of it...

I knew some DNR from the U.P. in Michigan and they used to pick up ticks all the time. They would pull them off and put them in a film canister and throw it in the freeze. Evantually they ended up with a whole canister of frozen ticks. One day when one guy left the window of his work truck they popped the top and threw the canister in. When it warmed up the ticks took up new homes all over the truck. They said he was pulling ticks for weeks.

Back when I still lived in San Diego I worked at a grocery store. My Nabisco salesman was always talking smack (in a good way) and egging me on. So one day, with the help of his female merchandiser I snuck outside and decorated his car with maxi pads and tampons!

Tampons by the gas tank!

Tampons tied to the windshield wipers!

Best part was that the car sat in the sun long enough for the adhesive to stick really good so when he went to pull it all off he had cotton fuzz EVERYWHERE!!! I even had customers watching me, laughing!

Guys I use to work with would mess around with everyones car . One day I went out to his car , popped his hood . I had about a 15 foot piece of stock speaker wire . One end I stripped about 2 inches , pulled one of his coil pack plug wires off , stuck the stripped end in and reinstalled the plug wire . I then laced the wire down his fender , along the passenger side door , into the rear seat floor area , and stripped the other end of the speaker wire 6 inches . I then stuck that stripped end through the driver seat split where the back cushion and the seat cushion meet . I then spread the stripped wire out so it was fanned out across the seat . He never saw it . When he started it up he was getting a rather shocking experience . Dumb ass bailed out of car with it still running (in park though) in front of us . As intellligent as he was he reached in to remove the wire and got zapped again because the car was still running . That was great .

Another prank I've pulled is wrapping a piece of mechanics wire around the exhaust pipe in front of the catalytic convertor . This is probably the hottest part of the exhaust . Then you slide in a fire cracker , fuse of fire cracker folded back along the side of it against the pipe . It won't go off right away , but within 5 minutes off highway speed it will . Then the next day you can take another fire cracker and do another reinstall because your mechanics wire is still there . Remember "Don't Mess With The Master"
