Help needed if you can please

Now this is a long shot but hear me out.

Alot of you know I want to move to Canada, I have applied for my visa been accepted and its a federal state visa It takes 8 months apparently. I have 3 years engineering at college all passed, and 6 years engineering working experience. Mainly in metal working design using autocad / cadcam programming, have also done mechanical and structural engineering.

The place that's doing my visa asked have i got a place of work to go to when i arrive in the country. Well no i have not how am i ment to get a job in Canada when i dont live there yet never mind an interview.

Now I am willing to work as anything dont care what it is I just want to get myself in to Canada (anywere in Canada) and settle down I want out of england hate it here.

Do any of you guys / ladys know of any vacancies going at your place of work for someone like me. I can send my resume (CV) plus samples of my work via email. I have full drivers license also motorbike license I am hard worker and always give my 110% towards anything.

Please let me know as I really want to get the ball fully rolling.

many thanks

Daniel

:wavey: Hey Dann. Like to try and help you out. How can you come to work here without your visa? can you? This is all new to me so have some patients. Do you have the visa? do you need someone in Canada to assist with coming here? I work at our hospital and know lots of people. Is there a trade or something you would like to get into?

Hi thanks for the reply.

I have the ball rolling for my visa it takes 8 months to come through all the legal documents etc but I have been accepted so I am taking these 8 months to find a job to come to, so am not struggling for cash / job in a new strange place.

I would like to get in to AutoCAD engineering design metal sector. You probs have another name for it, but Engineering is my main goal, but i am not totally fussed I am happy doing manual work as well as office work.

Because it will be just me coming over I will be alone no friends or family coming with me and have none in Canada so i need all the help i can get before and defo when i get over.

many thanks

Daniel

Hi Dann , It might be worth you coming over for a short holiday on a fact finding mission. Hire an RV & find the places you might like to live & work. Find some engineeing company's & go & have a chat, they like that you are making an effort & not just doing everything online. We came over for a month & did exactly that before we moved , plus we had a great time visiting all the new places & meeting new people. Lot's of job's posted on Government Web site's for all the Province's.
We have been here 6 year's now & became Canadian Citizens last week. Best thing we ever did was gatting out of England.

No i have to wait till I have my visa before i can work in Canada. But as say its only 8 months and that will fly by.

Yeh I know what you mean by coming for a hoilday fact finding mission, the only issue is I am saving hard for the move and with me not working at moment here in england no jobs at moment we still stuck in this credit crunch, I am finding it hard to get hold of cash and dont want to spend out i just want to save up pack my things and make one big step out of england, i hope that makes sense.
