Shutter from Rear
i've speculated myself and have heard alot but want to know what you guys think about this. while driving at any speed i get a shutter during slow acceleration from some component in the drive line. when i get to 80mph+ (only on track) it shakes bad. not the whole truck like a bent frame shake but something in the drivetrain. it has also smoked only at high speeds while shaking i dont know if its motor oil or trans fluid but the oil touches something hot enough to make it burn. when coasting under 25mph there is a loud clicking noise coming from the rear. and when i try and reverse there will be a few loud clicks.

Any idea at all where the smoke is coming from? Check the fluid levels in your trans, transfer if it's a 4X4, and rear axle. I'd also be tempted to remove the drive shaft (don't forget to mark the shaft and yokes for proper reassembly) and make sure the u-joints move freely. If you've driven it a few miles before you do this, a u-joint cap that is hotter than the rest will indicate a lack of lubrication to that part of the joint. While you have it out, check both the yokes for any excessive movement.

Just what I was thinking u-joints , trans mount . Smoking is another problem .
