Stock speaker size
:wavey:Hello everyone. I dont exactly what the stock speaker sizes are in the quad cab. Are they 6.5" front and back? I think sparky at the store gave me the wrong info. Need help. Thanks.:doh:

You have 6X9's up front and 5 1/4's in the rear.

You can still mount the 6's up front and get 5 1/4's for the rear.

:SHOCKED:Really..........will they work ok......Dont have to alter anything do I. BTW i tried to be the first to post you as a HO . You got me good yourself. Way to go Rem...Awsome.

Yeah, the only down side is that you will will only get 2-3 screws in them. I have seen adapters available somewhere to fit 6X9 holes. Or you might even want to get creative and make something yourself. Another trick I use is attaching the aftermerket speaker leads to the stock harness with Scotchlok connectors from 3M. This allows you to keep the stock plug intact in case you ever sell the truck and want to keep the aftermarket speakers.

 Thats a great point. I like the scotchlocs myself. Have some in my truck/trailer and 4wheelers. Thanks:smileup:

:smileup:I really like these speakers. Do you think i could put the 6" in the back and just get the 5x9's for the front?
